What is Biology?

Biology is the study of life itself.  It is the study of all living organisms and their functions, structure, evolution, taxonomy, and processes.  

 

About This Course:

This course is designed to introduce the concepts of Biology. The course will follow the honors district high school biology curriculum as it has been aligned with the state science standards in preparation for the introduction of the science component on the AIMS and PARCC assessments. Course work will be balanced between labs, in-class work, homework, formatives, and summatives.

Freshman Physics is an introductory physics course designed to give 9th grade students a foundation in the natural forces that govern our world.  The concepts taught in this course will apply to the upper level science courses that follow.
